Task

Develop and execute a public relations campaign to secure mainstream media exposure for the festival and drive ticket sales.

Coordinate PR activity amongst the festival sponsors and their marketing agencies.

Solution

Set up a national Triple M radio promotion and secured accommodation and flight partners to provide prize.

We established a festival press office and conducted a media relations and promotions campaign to secure widespread coverage.

Coordinated film festival talent to participate in radio interviews and arrange stunt activity for TV.

Results

TV coverage on all three main free to air networks including segments on The Today Show (C9), Sunrise (C7) and Sports Tonight (C10).

A week long national promotion on Triple M, resulting in over 49,000 entries and interviews on four major Sydney stations.

News pieces in the Herald Sun, Sydney Morning Herald and the Daily Telegraph.

Total audience reach for the campaign was over one million people.
